Rubella virus IgM (RV-IgM) ELISA Kit is an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the qualitative detection of IgM-class antibodies to Rubella virus in human serum or plasma. Anti-rubella virus IgM antibodies in human serum or plasma are closely associated with acute infection with the virus, and rubella virus-specific IgM antibodies are one of the sensitive and specific indicators for laboratory diagnosis. The detection of rubella virus IgM is important for eugenics and clinical guidance. Rubella virus IgM antibody test should not be used for prenatal screening of asymptomatic people, and the test results should not be used alone as a basis for termination of pregnancy.

This kit detects Rubella virus IgM antibody (RV-IgM) in human serum or plasma samples, polystyrene microwell strips are pre-coated with antibodies directed to human immunoglobulin M protein (anti-µ chain).  After first adding serum or plasma specimens to be examined, the IgM antibodies in the specimen can be captured, and other unbound components (including specific IgG antibodies) will be removed by washing.  In the second step, the HRP (horseradish peroxidase)-conjugated antigens will specifically react only with RV IgM antibodies. After washing to remove the unbound HRP-conjugate, chromogen solutions are added into the wells. In presence of (anti- µ) -(RV-lgM) -(RV Ag-HRP) immunocomplex, after washing the plate, the TMB substrate was added for color development, and the HRP connected to the complex catalyzes the color developer reaction to generate the blue substance, add 50 µI of Stop Solution, and turn yellow. The presence of the absorbance of the RV-IgM antibody in the sample was determined by a microplate reader.High sensitivity, specificity and stability
